Entry requirements

Recognised three-year Bachelor's degree in Psychology from an accredited program. Some students may be required to complete additional units to satisfy specified unit prerequisites.

The Academic Chair will consider applications and recommend students for admission based on an assessment of the student's preparedness to cope with the Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology, and on current teaching resources available to the school. In some cases, the Academic Chair may recommend a student for admission, but require the student to complete additional designated Murdoch units offered in earlier years than the 4th year.

Quota: The number of students accepted into the course will be determined on a semester-by-semester basis, and will depend upon available resources.

Applications: The application process will coincide with that of all other postgraduate degrees offered in the School of Psychology, with close-off dates for the applications occurring approximately one month before the beginning of the following semester.

English proficiency

Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate competency in the English language. This requirement can be met by achieving the following scores in one of the following English language proficiency tests:

In order to gain admission to Murdoch University, students must satisfy Murdoch University English requirements by demonstrating competency in the English Language.
