Postgraduate Diploma in Policy Studies

In this course, you can choose to specialise in Development Studies, Public Policy or Social Research and Evaluation to gain a qualification that will take you half-way to completing your Masters.

Specialise in Development Studies

This is an ideal choice of specialisation if you're already working in social services, teaching, journalism, working as a development consultant, dealing with economic or social planning or are a leader in sustainable development or indigenous governance. This specialisation would also suit you if you want to work with environmental protection or human rights.

You'll gain an in-depth understanding of social research and learn about the relationships between trade, capital and people.

Enhance your Public Policy experience

If you'd like to pursue a career in management in the public sector or have managerial experience, the Public Policy specialization could help you take the next step. You'll explore the politics and economics of public policy and public administration, and take elective units that are related to your own interests and experience.

Make a difference with Social Research and Evaluation

The Social Research and Evaluation specialisation is designed to develop your ability to research in areas of health education, welfare, criminal justice, psychology, disability services, and other areas with social programs and policies.
