Learn how to protect wild fauna


With this course you will learn from our industry recognised staff, gaining an understanding of fundamental issues associated with conservation wildlife management including habitat protection, indigenous knowledge and community participation and the role of veterinarians in wildlife conservation efforts. You'll also gain knowledge and skills relevant to nutrition and husbandry associated with management of wild fauna in captivity.

With the opportunity to undertake a conservation project and placement, you will be able to pursue substantial investigation in a relevant area of conservation medicine, either in Australia or overseas.

You can also use this course as an academic pathway to the Master of Veterinary Studies in Conservation Medicine, gaining advanced standing for up to one semester, full time study.
