Professor Jennings is involved in several Government Committees and several community conservation groups, and has almost 200 published articles on surface physics, photovoltaics, environmental radiation and science education.

Katrina is a passionate science communicator, with a long-standing interest in the communication of science, technology and the environment to the public. Under the guise of Commander Kat, she has been presenting science radio programmes on community radio station RTRFM, 92.1MHz for the past 13 years.
