"I respect those that place honesty and integrity before narrow self interest and prejudice. I am inspired by those who are ahead of the learning curve. My aspiration is to count myself as one of those people and to help others do the same. I cannot think of a better way to achieve this than through the academic way of life."

"Everything we do needs energy. To teach in an area that is trying to show different ways of using that energy wisely and supplying it in a more sustainable manner is both very challenging and very enjoyable."

"My teaching philosophy is to provide students with a holistic view of energy generation/use and sustainability, as well as an appreciation of the impacts energy production and consumption have on society and the environment on a global as well as on a local scale."

"In this world, very few areas are electrified. To bring solution for this energy crisis, there is a need for the commercial deployment of low greenhouse gas technologies."

"I get much satisfaction from seeing students engage with their work, and start down the path of life-long learning, with the ability to not only be taught, but to learn for themselves."

"I am inspired by the thought of a network of our multi-skilled graduates from our programs, working all over the world to tackle the issue of climate change head on."
