Kerrie Griggs

Philosophy

Kerrie’s interest in the practice of ethics and the ways in which organizations attempt to ensure ethical practice among their participants then led her to embark of a PhD research project in philosophy exploring the ethics and efficacy of organisational codes of ethics.

At the same time she also joined the National Health and Medical Research Council as an Assistant Director in the Quality Regulation division where she worked on a national project aimed at the harmonisation of review by medical research ethics committees.

Joint Honors in Philosophy and Asian Studies Specialist (Japanese)

Isobel Stevenson

Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Philosophy and History

Isobel is completing a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Philosophy and History. Isobel chose this combination for her studies because she is interested in using her love and knowledge of philosophy to teach in the new Philosophy and Ethics curriculum in secondary schools in Western Australia.

Emma Rooksby

Emma came to Murdoch from the University of Western Australia, enrolling in the philosophy honours program in 1995. She made the move in order to access Murdoch's strength in feminist philosophy and its commitment to interdisciplinary research. A taste for research in philosophy saw her embark on a PhD in philosophy in 1996.
