  • What inspired you to become a Murdoch student?

    "I completed my Undergraduate degree with Murdoch and enjoyed the close proximity to home."
  • What kind of hands-on experience did you get as part of your studies?

    "I coupled the theory with hands-on experience by seeking employment as a student midwife in a local regional hospital. The requirement to complete 1000 hours of practicum ensured plenty of hands-on experience with excellent clinical tutors."
  • What was your first degree-related job after you graduated?

    "Registered Midwife."
  • What are you passionate about?

    "Public Health with a focus on women and infants."
  • What are you doing now?

    "In my final 6 months of a Masters in Public Health and Tropical Medicine with James Cook University, QLD."
  • How does what you learned at Murdoch help you in your current career?

    "It provided me with a broader knowledge base for public health issues for women and infants."
  • What are you most proud of achieving since you left uni?

    "The set up of my own consultancy business for 3rd world public health issues."
  • What is the most useful life lesson you learned at Murdoch that has nothing to do with your degree?

    "It is most important to keep the end point in sight."
  • How do you want to make a difference in the future?

    "Assist in helping communities less fortunate than my own."
