Entry requirements

Recognised and appropriate Bachelor's degree or higher. For Primary teacher education students, a wide range of undergraduate degrees is appropriate.

English language requirements

Applicants whose prior study was not undertaken in English need an IELTS score of 7.0 with no band less than 7.0.

A recognised Bachelor's degree, usually requiring at least three years of full-time study or its equivalent, or higher, or satisfactory preparation through a combination of previous study and work experience, as determined by the Academic Chair.

For Primary teacher education students, a wide range of undergraduate degrees is appropriate: for Secondary teacher education students the degree must be relevant to one of Murdoch's teaching areas.

English proficiency

Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate competency in the English language. This requirement can be met by achieving the following scores in one of the following English language proficiency tests:

IELTS	7.0 (no individual band less than 7.0)
TOEFL (paper based)	600 (with the Test of Written English 5)
TOEFL (internet based)	90 (no band less than 20)
Bachelor degree completed in the English medium	A Bachelor degree completed entirely in the English medium and evidenced with a letter from the applicant's University, stating that the degree was completed entirely in the English medium
