New teaching facilities in 2011
| New $4 million Commonwealth funded facilities will include a teaching area and 3 new labs for biomechanics, exercise physiology and strength, conditioning and rehabilitation. They will be used by: • students studying exercise physiology, chiropractic science and sports science, • teaching and research, • sports teams, and • the public. Sports teams will be tested for physical fitness, health and performance to aid coaches in determining how far players have developed. The facilities will also be used for testing a broad spectrum of the public, including elderly patients and workers with injuries. The facilities are due for completion by August 2011 and the graphics on the right provide you with an idea of what the new facilities may look like. |
