First Secretary to the Australian Embassy, Tokyo
Double major: Asian Studies (Japanese) and Law
Robin McKenzie is a member of Australia's diplomatic service, and is currently posted as First Secretary (Trade and Economic) to the Australian Embassy, Tokyo.
Robin commenced work with Australia's diplomatic service, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), in February 1999. Robin's current position in Japan is his second overseas posting, following service in the Pacific island country, the Republic of Kiribati (1999 - 2002).
Third Secretary for the Australian Embassy, Jakarta
Double major: Asian Studies (Indonesian) and Law (Hons)
Emma Wilson is currently working as Third Secretary (Political) for the Australian Embassy in Jakarta. She monitors research and provides policy advice on environment, legal and economic governance in Indonesia.
She also manages projects as part of Australia’s governance program in Indonesia.

Double major: Asian Studies (Japanese) and Psychology
Darren Harlock studied Psychology and Japanese language at Murdoch, completing the Asian Studies Specialist - Japanese Studies major and winning a scholarship to study at university in Tokyo.
He says, "My combination of Psychology and Japanese Studies was quite unorthodox, but I found it useful and stimulating to be able to learn in two entirely different areas concurrently.

Jodie Goodman - Asian Studies and Community Development
After obtaining a first class honours degree in Sustainable Development and Asian Studies, Jodie began further studies toward a PhD at Murdoch University, working on the Australian Research Council funded ‘social capital, natural resources and local governance in Indonesia’ project.
Dylan Lipinski - Asian Studies and Politics and Master of Arts in Public Policy
Dylan is the Manager of the South/South East Asia Desk in the WA Dept of Industry and Resources.
Frances Barns - Asian Studies (Indonesian)
In 2009, Frances was working as the Indonesia Country Director for the World Bank East Asia Pacific Enterprise Survey.
Gaynor Dawson - Asian Studies (Indonesian)
Currently Gaynor works as a consultant on development assistance projects for AusAID, the Asian Development Bank and other international development agencies.
