Our Model of Executive Action
All our programs form part of an integrated framework that includes a model of executive action, to which contemporary adult learning principles are applied. The model represents the dynamic relationship between the individual and the organisation. Individual managers and leaders need to understand the environments within which they operate, the systems pertaining to their organisations, and the motivations and requirements of their stakeholders. Doing so, they can make critical decisions about, and positively influence these environments, systems and stakeholders.
Environments are complex and dynamic: opportunity and sustainability are always at issue; economic, political, social, and ecological agendas must be negotiated at all levels- personal, organisational, community, state, regional and global.
Stakeholders are increasingly knowledgeable: staff, associates, customers, shareholders, partners, government, community groups and the media are all more demanding and deserving of appropriate attention.
Systems are more sophisticated: the technologies and processes for dealing with complex environments and demanding stakeholders are now so advanced and specialized that leaders and managers need new ways of putting them in usable perspectives.

Our programs develop in their participants the functions of understanding, deciding, and influencing in respect of all these sets of factors. All programs, open or customised, address each of the three functions in detailed and explicit ways.
