"The Leadership for Sustainability program provided me with a 'circuit breaker' from working on great sustainability programs from a narrow project management perspective. I came out of it more in tune with the skills and learnings I had gathered from my project experiences and more aware of the potential for connecting my projects and passions with other sustainability professionals, organisations and opportunities. 

I discovered that I had an 'expertise' and an obligation to share it with others and to grow our collective learnings. The Leadership for Sustainability program provided a space to work on my own skills and intentions by listening and observing a diverse mix of people on similar paths. The program facilitated a mixture of strategic, emotional and systems thinking that enabled creative new perspectives to emerge.

The facilitation style was genuine and inclusive to the point that the experience was collaborative to the point that it was unclear and unimportant sometimes who was facilitating and who was 'on the program'. I'm now involved in many sustainability projects where I had been in the furrow of just one."

"I attended the Leadership for Sustainability program dried out and ready to pull the pin. What I learnt was that trying to achieve success by playing by my usual rules was not necessarily a healthy or sustainable activity. By letting go of traditional leadership aspirations, and finding like-minded collaborators, I have learnt to 'work in the cracks' where, as Leonard Cohen says, the light gets in.
