Work Integrated Learning (WIL)
In today’s working environment employers need graduates that can become high performing members of their organisations quickly and WIL provides the opportunity for students to gain a better understanding of their relevant discipline in a workplace setting. It also offers employers graduates who are more likely to be ‘work ready’.
We provide an innovative, supportive and high quality learning experience which incorporates learning in both a formal education environment as well as in workplaces, communities and practical settings.
Employer and Industry benefits
Employers/Industry gain:
1. Access to a pool of potential recruits with exposure to their core values;
2. More ‘work ready’ graduates within the industry;
3. A closer relationship with the University and the sharing of new ideas;
4. Additional resources to aid in business projects, and,
5. Enthusiastic and innovative students who bring new technologies, perspectives and ideas to the workplace.

Getting involved
We invite companies, organisations and professionals to partner with us and engage a student for a work placement, professional experience or industry project. The University assesses the student in the workplace (in conjunction with their workplace supervisor) as part of their formal study.
