The Kulbardi engagement and outreach team offers programs to high schools to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in designing their future.

We inspire students to consider not only university but other ATAR or non-ATAR learning pathways that are available after high school. We connect with students through our free high school engagement, Deadly Dreaming, Djilba and community outreach events. Through knowledge we believe our youth can turn their passion into a successful career.

Deadly Dreaming

Deadly Dreaming is our annual high school event for students in Years 7 to 12.

The whole day event is packed with workshop experiences to explore all things university.

Students have the opportunity to meet existing students and staff.

There will also be representatives from companies and organisations in the community that assist in life after school by offering traineeships, scholarships, or services.

Engaging with your school

Our school relationships officer works with high schools to encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student engagement.

We offer a range of incursion workshops designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander secondary students from Years 7 to 12, or on-campus experiences.

Our workshops inspire critical thinking, leadership and aspiration to encourage students to think about what happens after high school. The series empowers students with the information needed to make decisions about their future.
