If you are interested in offering a student work placement or industry project we encourage you to complete an expression of interest form.

Student work placement

Register your interest in hosting a student work placement by supplying us with information about your organisation, and indication of the discipline areas for which you might be able to provide a work integrated learning placement.

The expression of interest form also provides us with information about the proposed program of work or project and the type of student that would be suitable.

The best timeframes to put forward student work placement opportunities are:

  • November to end of January for semester 1 (March to June)
  • April to June for semester 2 (August to November).

Not all work placement offers can be approved. If the opportunity is suitable and relevant for the students in one of our disciplines we can work with you to ensure a productive experience.

Industry project

Should you wish to offer an industry project, instead of an individual work placement, we encourage you to express your interest by providing us with information about your business / organisation, and indication of the discipline areas for which you might be able to provide a work integrated learning project.

If you are interested in becoming a placement provider and partner with Murdoch University to develop future professionals for your industry, we welcome you to register with us.

Murdoch University is committed to developing adaptive and innovative students who can bring fresh perspectives and diversity to your workplace through a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placement. Hosting a student also gives you the opportunity to familiarise students with your work practices and evaluate their potential.
